Alan C. Zoller, 80 of Oakmont passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016. Dear Son of the late Lionel S. and Lillian H. (Hamilton) Zoller. Loving Husband for 59 years of Mary Margaret (Schmidt) Zoller. Beloved Father of Mark (Lisa) Zoller and Cynthia (Michael) Malone. Grandfather of Courtney Zoller, Lindsey (Kenneth) Davis, Katie Malone, Kieran (Natasha) Malone, and Casey Malone. Brother of Cynthia (Dominic) Bovienzo. Brother-in-law of John and Cheryl Schmidt, and Nancy Morrison. Alan was a lifetime Oakmont resident. Following college at North Carolina State and Pitt, he served in the US Army from 1956 to 1958. After coming home from Germany, he started working in the coatings industry, and spent most of his career as owner of the Alan C. Zoller Company, selling raw materials to paint and coatings manufacturers. He enjoyed many activities, was an excellent all-around athlete as a young man, and remained an avid golfer until just last year. His lifelong love of golf started as a teen, while working as a caddy at Oakmont Country Club. Later as an adult, he fulfilled his dream by becoming a member and this year he celebrated 50 years of membership at Oakmont. He loved his wife like they were still newlyweds. He loved his children with all of his heart, his grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he was a beloved father figure to his nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to a celebration of Alan’s life on Saturday, January 16, 2016, 11 a.m. at Trinity Tower United Methodist Church, 6729 Saltsburg Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
