James M. McAndrew, 51 of Plum Boro passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017. Son of Melvin McAndrew and the late Janice (Vano) McAndrew. Beloved Husband for 27 years of Tina (Ray) McAndrew. Loving Father of Devin, Zach, and Mason McAndrew. Dear Brother of Janet Marie (Ron Schwoegl) McAndrew, Jeff (Colleen) McAndrew, and Jonathan McAndrew. Son-in-law of Jack Ray and the late Viola Ray. Brother-in-law of Delores (Albert) Stanton, Mike (Sharon) Boyd, Jody (David) Bassaro,Peggy (the late Jeff) Ray, Tracy (Bob) McEvoy, John (Brenda) Ray, Ed (Joni) Ray. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his loyal four-legged friend, Gunner, his Camp Buddy, and is survived by Jaxx. Jim was a graduate of Riverview High School class of 1983 and a member of St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, Oakmont. He worked for many years for the United States Postal Service, most recently in Warrendale NDC where he was the maintenance manager. He was a member of the National Association of Postal Supervisors, was an assistant Scout Master to troop 877. Jim was known as a “fix it man,” and enjoyed going to Cooks Forest to hunt and fish. The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. Mayernik and the staff at Allegheny Health Network Cancer Institute, Forbes Regional Hospital oncology unit, and also Allegheny General Hospice at home. Friends and relatives will be received on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, February 15, 2017, 11 a.m. St. Irenaeus Catholic Church. Donations may be made to the family for their discretion.
