Joanne (Rich) Giuffre Mt. Pleasant Joanne "Jo" (Rich) Giuffre, 61, of Mt. Pleasant, after multiple courageous battles, passed away peacefully and joined the angels Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018. She was the cherished mother of Angela Giuffre; and super Gramma to Andrew Michael Giuffre. She was the daughter of Joseph Rich, of Emlenton, Pa., and the late Ann (Reilly) Corey; sister of Kathy (the late Jim) Hamer, of Staunton, Va., Fred Rich, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Lisa (Rich) Santimauro, of Fawn Township, Charlie (Shawna) Rich, of Florissant, Colo., and the late Dave Andrews and Marion Rich-Lloyd; also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, cousins and good friends. She was predeceased by her niece, Jamee (Hamer) Riddle; and nephew, JT Hamer. She is also survived by Lucy and Puff Puff. Jo was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who truly loved life and could make any get-together a party. She was outgoing and fun-loving, and had a truly special personality that drew people to her. She had a love for racecars and any beach on any shore. Jo worked managing restaurants from a young age, and was the former owner of Angie's Cafe in Mt. Pleasant. She was an excellent cook, and she loved making people happy in any ways she could. Jo's daughter, Angie, and grandson, Andrew, were the center of her entire world, and she loved them beyond words. She had a very special bond with her grandson, Andrew, from the moment he was born, and that special bond will live on forever. All services will be private and entrusted to BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC. Oakmont. Per Jo's wishes, interment will be in Snowball Cemetery in Stahlstown. She fought with the strength, courage and determination of an entire army; may God keep her peacefully and safely in the palm of his hands now.
